Allen Joseph Smith, 69, of North Riverside, died March 9, 2018.
Mr. Smith was a U.S. Air Force captain who served in Vietnam and a longtime employee of United Airlines.
He was the cousin of Dolores (late Al) Kus, Joseph (Barbara) Kieras, Mary Ann (late David) Hiles, Randy (Debbie) Kieras, Sharon (Jim) Weiss, Christine, Mary Ellen, Gene, Joe Jr., Jill, Daniel, Sandy, Vicky, Michael, Adam and many others; and the friend of Sharon Johnson and many other people.
A memorial visitation is on Saturday, April 28 at 9 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Private interment follows.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the North Riverside Fire Department, 2331 Desplaines Ave., North Riverside, 60546.
