In advance of its Nov. 12 town hall meeting to unveil plans for a major overhaul of East Burlington Street in the downtown area, officials have released a perspective drawing of the Longcommon-Burlington intersection to give residents an idea of what the plan looks like.

The drawing, which looks east from Longcommon Road, shows many of the principal elements of design, including dark brown brick paver sidewalks and parkways, raised limestone planters, stamped asphalt crosswalks and a concrete ribbon winding through the entire design.

The town hall meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Riverside Township Hall, 27 Riverside Road, at 7 p.m. Representatives from the village’s engineering firm, Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd. will give a presentation about the design. Residents will be able to give input and ask questions about the design and will be able to view more drawings.

Riverside officials want to finalize plans for the project during the winter in order to begin construction in the summer of 2015.
