The holiday season brings friends and loved ones together like no other time of the year. It also may be when you realize older family members or friends need assistance keeping up their homes or with day-to-day activities. Thankfully, there's a senior living campus just down the street in Brookfield—Cantata.
Located next to the zoo, Cantata Senior Living Campus offers seniors a variety of living options with various levels of independence and care. This close-knit community is reminiscent of Chicagoland neighborhoods in the 1950s and 1960s—where everyone on the block knew each other and neighbors were like family.
The 10-acre Cantata Senior Living Campus creates a sense of camaraderie with neighborhood amenities…all on-site. Residents can relax with a good book in the library or sip morning coffee in the café. Women can maintain their favorite hairstyle with a trip to the salon while men get a quick cut in the barbershop. Everyone can come together for restaurant-quality meals in the dining room or play cards and games in the activity center. During warm weather, the patio beckons people outside.
Tucked between McCormick Woods and Brookfield Woods, the Cantata Senior Living Campus boasts a lush, wooded setting with a reflection pond. Adjacent to the community is Salt Creek and the Salt Creek Trail runs along the property's perimeter. Paths wind through the campus, allowing residents to spend time outdoors in the sanctuary of their own neighborhood. Additional on-site amenities include a Fitness Center, Therapy Center and Wellness Center with podiatry, dental, audiology, and vision services.
Moving onto campus gives seniors many opportunities to live their best lives with social outings and activities, lifelong learning, and zero home maintenance worries. Loved ones gain peace of mind knowing their elderly family members are living in a secure, enriching and supportive environment. In addition, residents at the Cantata Senior Living Campus enjoy comfortable accommodations that feel like home.
Wye Valley Apartments offers 66 maintenance-free rental homes in a secured building. Three floor plans are available: one-bedroom, one-bedroom deluxe and two-bedroom. Apartments include a fully equipped kitchen along with a living room and accessible bath. A full-time activities director is on staff to coordinate classes, trips and events. Pets are welcome at Wye Valley Apartments.
The Woodlands offers 73 private apartments with a 24-hour nursing staff who support residents with daily activities—from medication reminders to personal assistance with daily tasks. Included with assisted living are three daily meals, a personalized wellness plan and scheduled non-medical assistance as needed. Three floor plans are offered: studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom. Each features a kitchenette with refrigerator to keep snacks close at hand, as well as a cozy living area and accessible bath.
The British Home offers long-term care and rehabilitation services with 72 skilled nursing rooms in an intimate, easy-to-navigate environment. Services include 24-hour nursing care and three nutritional meals a day. The British Home also has comfortable common areas where residents can spend time with family. Residents are encouraged to participate in Life Enrichment programs, educational and recreational activities, and social events, as well. Both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services are available when short-term recuperative care is needed.
Residents in all levels of living at the Cantata Senior Living Campus receive additional benefits for peace of mind such as emergency call pendants or bracelets, housekeeping services, interior apartment maintenance, front desk support, and exceptional, person-centered care based on their needs.
Satellite TV, Wi-Fi and all utilities except for phone are included in monthly rents. Dining plans provide nutritious meals and transportation off campus is available, as well. The Cantata Senior Living Campus is a rental community and no entrance fee is required.
The Cantata Senior Living Campus is located at 8700 W 31st Street. The community's entrance is on the north side of 31st Street at McCormick Avenue, across from the zoo. As a result, it is convenient for families living in Brookfield as well as surrounding suburbs such as Riverside, North Riverside, LaGrange Park, and more. Medical care at the Loyola University Health Science Campus and Medical Center are just north of the property.
