Riverside board not interested in public input

Opinion: Letters to the editor

September 17th, 2019 12:12 PM

My husband and I were at the Riverside village meeting on Sept. 5. There was a huge turnout and the general consensus was against having a cannabis dispensary in Riverside.

The majority of the board was not interested in what the residents had to say. Their main concern was revenue. A town hall meeting was requested but was pushed aside.

This board was elected by the residents of Riverside, but the board was not sympathetic to their concerns.

My feeling is that most of the board will be replaced come the next election.
